Our tour :Â
We pick you up directly in your hotel or accomodation around 5 pm (6h30 pm on summer) and we go directly to savour our sushi near Pico do Arieiro , where we can enjoy the food and drinks with some privacy before heading up to the top of Pico do Arieiro. In Pico do Arieiro we can see the Sun setting in the most beautiful settings with shades of orange, pink and red skies from above the clouds.
Before the sunset you can walk around Pico do Arieiro for a while to find the ideal spot for the sunset or even to explore the peaks before it gets dark.
We can always accomodate different dietary preferences if informed beforehand, we want you to have the best experience.
After you enjoy this experience we drive back to your hotel after an unique evening of sunset, and great quality of food , wine and beer
If the weather/visibility conditions aren´t the best we change the tour to the West tip of the Island, the Lighthouse of Ponta do Pargo in Calheta or the mountains near Rabacal where we can enjoy a great sunset as well.

Homemade local food and snacks
Traditional bread sliced, crackers, toast.

We have vegan/vegetarian options if informed beforehand
Drinks (alcoholic) : Red Wine, White Wine, Rosé Wine, Green Wine, Beer
Drinks (non alcoholic) : Beer (no alcohol version), Coca Cola, Orange Juice, Passion Fruit Soda. We can have different options if asked beforehand.
Know before you go
- This tour will take place rain or shine as we have alternative spots for watching the sunset in case the weather conditions are not the best, in case that happens we move the sunset tour to the west tip of the island, the Lighthouse of Ponta do Pargo in Calheta.
- If you are not satisfied with the sunset itself due to weather/visibility conditions, you can go on the next available sunset tour at no additional cost.
This tour requires a minimum of 4 people in order to proceed. If such requirement is not met we can reschedule or give a full refund or find alternatives in order to ensure you get the best experience. - There are no refunds based on weather conditions, weather can be unpredictable and we are not responsible for low visibility in Pico do Arieiro, but we will always offer you a second chance to do the tour at no extra cost, you can use this second opportunity to do a sunrise or sunset tour 🙂
- If your hotel is outside our pickup area please contact Get Your Guide before booking.
- Due to park rules placed to protect the Zinos Petrel and to prevent fire, no one is allowed to stay in Pico do Arieiro after 10:30 PM
