Sunset Tour with Food and Drinks
Admire the sunset from Madeira’s third-highest peak on a private or shared tour from Funchal to Pico do Arieiro. enjoy a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks while watching the sunset.
Following pickup at your accommodation, head towards a lovely spot in the mountains to enjoy some food and drinks, an authentic Madeira Local experience and afterwards we head towards Pico do Arieiro at an altitude of 1,818 meters where you can enjoy the sun setting in one of the island’s most beautiful settings. See shades of orange, pink, and red from above the clouds.
Before settling into your ideal viewing spot, enjoy the lovely scenery of Pico do Arieiro and then enjoy the sunset.
After sunset, you can stargaze for a while.
When night comes, enjoy the stars, film the sky’s canvas. Later, end the night with drop-off back to your hotel.
Food menu (vegetarian options available upon request):
• Homemade food
• Traditional bread, crackers, toast, french fries
• Chicken, Quiche, among others, the menu will always be different each day, but plenty of food and variety
Drinks (different options available upon request):
• Alcoholic: red wine, white wine, rosé, green wine, beer, and poncha (traditional Madeira cocktail)
• Non-alcoholic: non-alchoholic beer, Coca-Cola, orange Juice, and passion fruit soda
Know before you go
- This tour will take place rain or shine. If the weather/visibility conditions are not good enough to enjoy the sunset at Pico do Arieiro, the tour will be changed to visit the west tip of the Island and the Lighthouse of Ponta do Pargo in Calheta where you can enjoy an equally great sunset.
- If you are not satisfied with the sunset itself due to weather/visibility conditions, you can go on the next available sunset tour at no additional cost
- Due to park rules placed to protect the Zinos Petrel and to prevent fire, no one is allowed to stay in Pico do Arieiro after 10:30 PM
- There are no refunds based on weather conditions, weather can be unpredictable and we are not responsible for low visibility in Pico do Arieiro, but we will always offer you a second chance to do the tour at no extra cost, you can use this second opportunity to do a sunrise or sunset tour 🙂
